THE RABBITRY
Champagne d'Argent rabbits, bred for excellence.
About the Breed
The Champagne d'Argent is one of the oldest rabbit breeds in existence, with documented history stretching back to 17th-century France. Named for the Champagne region where they originated, these rabbits are distinguished by their stunning silver coat—jet black at birth, gradually silvering to a lustrous argent as they mature.
Prized for centuries as both a beautiful exhibition animal and a superior meat rabbit, the Champagne d'Argent represents the kind of dual-purpose heritage breed that modern agriculture has largely forgotten. We're committed to preserving and improving this remarkable lineage.
Our Program
Our Champagne d'Argent rabbits are bred to the ARBA (American Rabbit Breeders Association) standard, with careful attention to type, color, and condition. We maintain detailed pedigrees and select breeding pairs to strengthen the qualities that make this breed exceptional.
Our rabbits are raised in spacious, clean housing with access to fresh hay, quality pellets, and plenty of enrichment. We believe healthy, well-socialized rabbits produce the best offspring—whether destined for the show table or breeding programs.
Show & Breeding Stock
We offer Champagne d'Argent rabbits for both show competition and breeding programs. Our stock has been shown successfully at regional and national levels, and we take pride in producing rabbits that represent the breed standard while maintaining the genetic diversity essential for long-term breed health.
Whether you're an experienced exhibitor looking for your next champion or a beginning breeder starting your first rabbitry, we can help you find the right rabbit for your goals.
All breeding stock is sold with pedigrees and health guarantees. We're always happy to mentor new breeders and share what we've learned about this wonderful breed.
